POGGI - MADE IN PAVIA
.....Tutto è cominciato con il mio amico Pirovano, col quale facevo roccia, che doveva sistemare la sua casa...
Per la ristrutturazione gli avevano consigliato un certo Architetto Albini.
Mio papà aveva prodotto in serie solo incubatrici per un amico che allevava polli.
Io ero il falegname di famiglia e questo fu il primo lavoro della Ditta Poggi con l'Architetto Albini, gli arredi della "Casa sulle Alpi".
A partire da questo lavoro l'Architetto Albini ha stabilito con noi una sorta di esclusiva per la produzione dei suoi mobili in legno.
La prima sedia che abbiamo deciso di produrre in serie fu la numero 832 del nostro catalogo, diventata famosa come "la Luisa" che ha vinto
il Compasso D'Oro nel 1955.
Siamo arrivati ad essere con Flos, gli unici ad essere proposti negli anni'60 nel negozio C&B di Via Durini, negozio delle famiglie Cassina e Busnelli,
oggi show-room Cassina....

They had recommended an Architect called Albini.
My father had maw-produced only incubators for a friend who bred chickens.
I was the family's carpenter and this was the first job for the Poggi Company with Mr. Albini the Architect, furnishing "The house in the Alps".
From then on Mr. Albini has established a sort of exclusivity with us for the production of his wooden furniture.
The first chair we decided to produce in series was number 832 from our catalog, which became famous as "la Luisa" and wom the Compasso D'Oro in 1955.
We managed to be the only brand offered with Flos in the C&B shop owned by Cassini and Busnelli families in Via Durini in the '60, at present know Cassina show-room....
